Freeze Dry work has evolved into a very effective means of preservation.  It is  very stable and, in some cases, has proven to be superior to conventional mounting. We do our own freeze dry work right here in the Studio.

All turkey heads are freeze dried in our facility. We are able to preserve antlers in velvet with very minimal shrinkage.

Examples of good candidates for freeze drying are:

• Pets under 15 pounds

• Small mammals: chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, mink

• Small birds: Parrots, parakeets, doves, woodcock

• Reptiles: snakes, turtles, lizards, iguanas

• Bait fish, crawfish, lobsters, crabs

• Exotic spiders
